Focused Dog Training is a dog training company in the Madison Wisconsin area. We do general obedience and behavior modification with dogs and train puppies. Our goal is to get the owners to expect more from their dog(s) and have a strong relationship and bond together.

Basic Dog Training Command

Release Command

The release indicates your dog to decompress his mouth in a more general way than drop it, and the teaching process is much the same with a single difference: You want to keep holding your dog's toy while saying release.

Okay Command

With wait comes okay, Okay means that your dog can continue with its primary intent. Your dog should be able to pick up okay based off of your temper and facial appearance without much additional help.

Take It Command

Take it is a reasonably easy command for dogs. Just hold a favorite toy beside your dog's mouth and tell him to take it. When he coordinated, reward him with praise and a treat.

Wait Command

The line in wait may be a bit blurry, but the process of teaching can be the same like stay or leave it, depending on how you want to do it. The idea is to make your dog to hold its desired actions until you give it the okay.
